Wichtige Punkte, die Sie \u00fcber EPDs f\u00fcr Baumaterialien und Bauprodukte verstehen sollten<\/h3>\n

Das Verst\u00e4ndnis von Umweltproduktdeklarationen (EPDs) ist im Bereich Baustoffe und Bauprodukte von entscheidender Bedeutung. Es muss unbedingt klargestellt werden, dass es sich bei einer EPD um eine Erkl\u00e4rung handelt, die oft mit Zertifizierungen oder Umweltzeichen verwechselt wird. Eine EPD umfasst eine Produktbeschreibung, Materialzusammensetzung und Umweltdeklaration \u2013 und keine Bewertung dieser Daten.<\/p>\n

EPDs basieren auf Lebenszyklusanalysen (LCA), die die Umweltauswirkungen in verschiedenen Phasen des Produktlebenszyklus bewerten \u2013 von der Rohstoffgewinnung bis zum Ende der Nutzung.<\/p>\n

Beim Vergleich von EPDs f\u00fcr verschiedene Produkte oder sogar f\u00fcr denselben Produkttyp verdienen mehrere Faktoren Beachtung:<\/p>\n

Methode und Standard:<\/strong>
\nEPDs m\u00fcssen der gleichen Methode und dem gleichen Standard entsprechen, um genaue Vergleiche zu erm\u00f6glichen.<\/p>\n

Annahmen:<\/strong>
\nFaktoren wie die Art der verwendeten Daten, die Produktlebensdauer und End-of-Use-Szenarien haben erheblichen Einfluss auf die EPD-Ergebnisse und erfordern Konsistenz f\u00fcr g\u00fcltige Vergleiche.<\/p>\n

Ausgew\u00e4hlte Emissionsfaktoren:<\/strong>
\nEmissionsfaktoren spielen in den LCA-Daten eine zentrale Rolle. Folglich k\u00f6nnen identische Materialien je nach verwendetem Emissionsfaktor zu unterschiedlichen Ergebnissen f\u00fchren*.<\/p>\n

Beispielsweise ist Wolle, obwohl sie ein Nebenprodukt der Fleischproduktion und ein schnell erneuerbarer Rohstoff ist, aufgrund ihrer Verbindung zur Tierhaltung mit relativ hohen Emissionen verbunden. Diskrepanzen bei der Berechnung des Emissionsfaktors f\u00fcr Wolle erschweren den Vergleich zus\u00e4tzlich.<\/p>\n

Es ist unbedingt zu vermeiden, unterschiedliche Einheiten zu vergleichen, \u00e4hnlich dem Vergleich von \u00c4pfeln und Birnen. Bei Teppichen beispielsweise w\u00fcrde der Vergleich eines 1500 g\/m2-Teppichs mit einer 1100 g\/m2-Variante allein aufgrund des Gewichts zu unterschiedlichen Ergebnissen f\u00fchren.<\/p>\n

Bei der Auswahl von Baumaterialien m\u00fcssen verschiedene Faktoren wie Raumklima, Akustik, \u00c4sthetik und Brandschutzzulassungen sorgf\u00e4ltig abgewogen werden.
