Tony Bak affirms, “It’s crucial that suppliers offer not only good products but are also adaptable to changes in the work process.”

A natural choice
The choice to use Dansk Wilton’s Colortec ORIGIN carpet solution was rooted in a shared appreciation for natural materials. “We were drawn to the natural elements and durability of Colortec ORIGIN,” says Bak. The product’s unique storytelling element – that the colour of the carpet mirrors the natural colour of the sheep’s wool – particularly appealed to their desire for authenticity. Nature is at the heart of the hotel’s design philosophy, with most furnishings made from solid wood and other natural materials, and lush green colours are a consistent theme throughout the hotel.

The collaboration between the hotel and Dansk Wilton was characterised by a personal touch, particularly through our Export Manager Lars Hjortshøj. Bak praises the flexibility and expertise shown throughout the project, stating, “We visited Dansk Wilton for a factory tour and design inspiration for our new carpet solution. We looked at different design patterns, drew inspiration from existing designs and ended up with the beautiful wavy design with natural colours for both corridors and rooms.” With his extensive knowledge from the hotel industry, Lars Hjortshøj offered practical solutions, such as suggesting extra carpet rolls for future repairs or emergencies.

The benefits of carpets
Carpets as a part of the interior design brings a warmth and homely feel to the hotel environment, an element both Bak and Larsen highly value. “Carpets create a cosy atmosphere and offer superior comfort,” remarks Larsen. Additionally, carpets provide practical advantages by simplifying the cleaning process, reducing it to mere vacuuming compared to the dual task of mopping and vacuuming required for hard floors.
