CASE STORIES /
CPH Pulse

We are absolutely thrilled to announce our collaboration with the renowned artist Ditte Ejlerskov and Skanska on the decoration of CPH Pulse – a new office building in Copenhagen.

A living artwork that evolves with light

September 2024

Ditte Ejlerskov and Project Manager of Skanska, Henrik de Gier provide exciting insights about the project in the video.

Prepare to be captivated by a one-of-a-kind, large-scale wall carpet, created by the renowned artist Ditte Ejlerskov and manufactured by Dansk Wilton. This immersive artwork invites you to step into a portal of imagination, where the boundaries between reality and abstraction blur.

As you approach, you might glimpse a tree, only for it to dissolve into the woven threads as you move closer, shifting the experience from tangible to ethereal.

The artwork is designed to interact with the light that fills the atrium, transforming its character throughout the day. Whether it’s the natural light streaming in from outside or the carefully placed spotlights within the space, this piece will draw and play with light, creating a dynamic and ever-changing visual experience.

Art and architecture in perfect harmony
As the real estate developer, Skanska has created a unique dialogue between the artwork and the architecture. The central atrium, a focal point of the space, has been specifically designed to complement this magnificent piece. The large, open wall allows the artwork to be viewed from multiple floors, with every angle offering a new perspective, much like navigating through a jungle temple. The design ensures that, whether seen in passing or studied in detail, the artwork provides a profound experience.

A sound-dampening sanctuary
Beyond its visual allure, the woolen material of the artwork contributes to the building’s atmosphere by dampening sound, creating a cosy and welcoming environment. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or passing through daily, the piece offers a sense of homeliness and tranquility.

We are thrilled to announce that in 2026, CPH Pulse will open its doors to the public, offering open access to Ditte Ejlerskov’s captivating artwork.

Explore, experience, and immerse yourself in the living art of CPH Pulse – where architecture and art merge to create a space like no other.

The Cult of Oxytocin
CPH Pulse is not the first time Ejlerskov and Dansk Wilton have been on an artistic adventure together. For her exhibition The Cult of Oxytocin at Nikolaj Kunsthal, we co-created 5 beautiful carpets which was a vital part of the Upper Gallery and an additional 6 carpets that could be found hanging from the walls in the gallery.
