At Dansk Wilton, our positive impact projects are a cornerstone of our work with social and environmental sustainability. Our projects aim to create value both in the community and for the environment by focusing on responsible resource use and support for social causes.
We strive to make a positive difference by giving our surplus materials, such as excess yarn, are given new life and used in ways that benefit both people and the environment.
Collaboration with Garnspecialisten
Part of our effort to minimise waste includes a collaboration with Garnspecialisten, where we donate residual yarn from our production. This yarn is then sold, and 50% of the proceeds go directly to Mødrehjælpen, an organisation that supports vulnerable families in Denmark. Through this collaboration, we ensure that our yarn finds a new purpose while contributing to an important social cause.
Dansk Wilton’s social impact initiatives aim to foster community well-being and social responsibility by addressing pressing social issues and contributing to environmental sustainability. Building on our previous successes, we are now focusing on utilising residual yarn as a means to support social inclusion and environmental sustainability. This approach aligns with our commitment to both social fairness and environmental stewardship as part of our Cradle to Cradle Certified® commitment.
