A part of our effort to minimise waste included a collaboration with Garnspecialisten in 2024, where we donated residual yarn from our production to support a good cause.

A meaningful collaboration
The residual yarn we provided was sold by Garnspecialisten who donated 50% of the price, in the form of yarn, to Mødrehjælpen, supporting vulnerable families in Denmark through the project “Fra Garn Til Barn” (From yarn to child.) Through this collaboration, we ensured that our yarn found a new purpose while contributing to an important social cause.
Dansk Wilton’s social impact initiatives aim to foster community well-being and social responsibility by addressing pressing social issues and making positive contributions to the environment. We are now focused on utilising residual yarn as a means to support social inclusion and benefit the environment.
This initiative is just a small step, but with more collaborations, we hope to scale up and create an even greater impact.
