GREENSIGN – The green way for hotels

We would be happy to accompany you on your sustainability journey

Welcome to Dansk Wilton

Here on our website you will find information about our company, the various Carpet solutions, a Selection of references and much more.

A successful project always starts with a good initial meeting, so look for a non-binding consultation in which we determine your needs and wishes.

Welcome to Dansk Wilton; a company that acts as a partner to the hotel industry worldwide. Our corporate culture is characterised by appreciation, innovation and creativity.

Dansk Wilton’s sustainable business development is based on the Cradle to Cradle philosophy and certification program. Cradle to Cradle is a vision for a world where consumption and production have a positive impact on the economy, the environment and people. A world where we can benefit our planet.

It is therefore a particular pleasure for us to work together with the partner companies of the Green Community.

Sustainability and environmental protection in the hotel are becoming increasingly important in the organization and management of a hotel.

Hoteliers must be aware that nowadays guests are no longer guided only by the number of stars, but also pay attention to the responsible and sustainable commitment of the hotel. For 47 percent of German vacationers, it is important that the hotel they stay in is ecologically compatible. In addition, it should be both resource-saving and sustainable*.

GreenSign Institut

Dansk Wilton is a member of our GreenCommunity, in which companies come together to work together towards the same goal: making our industry fit for the future.

By joining the GreenCommunity, Dansk Wilton has committed to meeting socially and economically sustainable criteria and is leading by example as our first partner for verified sustainable and healthier carpet solutions. For us at GreenSign, the cooperation with Dansk Wilton also means: Innovative approaches for a sustainable transformation of the hotel industry and our society already exist and act as a key component of resource-saving, circular and appreciative production processes and consumer behavior. With our certification system, we make this measurable for hoteliers.

Equally valuable for the in-depth cooperation is the constant exchange at eye level, driven by a trusting and lovable cooperation.

Interview with Suzann Heinemann

GreenSign wants to encourage companies to make meaningful changes towards an ecological, socially responsible, and sustainable management and to do so with joy and determination.

Sustainable and responsible corporate management makes companies more resilient and enables them to better assert themselves in a rapidly changing market.

Environmental-friendly behavior does not mean waivers or prohibitions. GreenSign shows that sustainability and comfort are not mutually exclusive. The GreenCommunity is a network in which we inspire each other, learn from each other and provide mutual support.

Selected Hotel Cases

Atlantic Hotel Hamburg

A place with soul.. The carpet is not just a design element. A carpet always creates a cozy and pleasant atmosphere and improves the acoustics of the room.

Ultimately, Axminster carpet was chosen to ensure a carpet solution that would stand up to the hotel’s high standards and heavy demands on quality and appearance.

Atlantic Hotel Münster

Between urban new buildings and historic buildings, centrally located on the promenade, the lively green belt of the city center, the ATLANTIC Hotel Münster’s new hotel hot spot has emerged.

The special magic of the location inspired the interior designers to come up with an elegant, modern concept that combines classic Westphalian references and vibrant urbanity into an eclectic mix of styles.

Best Western The Harmonie Vienna

Sonja Wimmer’s vision is to create a place of well-being and coming together. Doing something good for the guests and treating the environment in a friendly way at the same time. This is exactly what the Harmonie Vienna has set itself as its goal. Sustainability plays a key role in Harmoniegasse.

This is noticeable as soon as you arrive through the green facade, and also in the careful selection of materials in the interior and regional partners at breakfast.

Club Baur Au Lac

The private club Baur Au Lac has its home in the classical Villa Rosau. The renovation work, which was carried out with great dedication, aimed to bring the premises behind the listed facade up to the most modern standard.

At the same time, the inherent charm of the villa with its style-defining details should be preserved and an oasis of well-being with a stylish interior should be created.

Hotel Märthof Basel

The Hotel Märthof shines in all its splendor and has become a special place. The historic building on Basel’s market square has been completely renovated and converted into a boutique hotel in the upscale 4-star category.

Swiss quality awareness and high standards of sustainability are reflected in the selection of the interior.

Hotel Vienna

The Hotel Vienna is located in a historic district, between St. Stephen’s Cathedral in the city center and the Vienna Prater.

It has been run with heart and commitment as a family business for more than 50 years. The careful renovation combines tradition with contemporary chic.

Karls Hotel

A new gem has emerged with the Karls Hotel in Sigmaringen: This very special 4-star hotel is located directly on the Danube with a view of the Hohenzollern Castle in Sigmaringen.

The close connection to the Hohenzollern family is reflected in the interior design and the carefully selected, high-quality materials.

Moxy Stuttgart

At the Moxy, not only is the design experience in the foreground, sustainability also plays an important role, as the buildings are either LEED or BREEM certified.

With Colortec RE:THINK, the Moxy Hotels lay custom made carpets, which have additional points for the LEED and BREEAM certification.

Residence Inn Munich

Sustainability is one of the core values of the SV Hotelgroup, so it was only logical to renovate with the cradle-to-cradle certified ORIGIN from Dansk Wilton for the upcoming refurbishment. The idea of completely doing without dyes and using the advantages of wool was a convincing choice when it came to selecting the material.

The bespoke design combines urban character, vintage look and love for natural materials. The harmonious color concept is supported by the floor, which intuitively guides the guest through the building.

Let’s make the hotel industry more sustainable together!

We would be happy to support you in implementing your strategy with custom designed carpet solutions for your destination.
