Nature Melange features a soft textured blend of differently coloured yarns, creating depth and visual interest, evoking comfort, nature and timeless style, through the muted, blended colours of its subtle heathered surface.
The inspiration
Nature is without a doubt our most beautiful and boundless source of inspiration.
From our office we follow the changing seasons, the sheep in the field outside our window, the changing light of bright sunrises and misty mornings, the snow, the spring leaves, the heavy rain clouds.
Every impression is filled with beautiful colour tones – some soft, some bright, some dramatic.
We are inspired by the natural mix of nuances creating colours in nature. The green, in the field, contains many tones that are similar and almost alike – but different. This makes the colour natural, vivid and alive.
The yarn
In classic wool carpet production, the yarn is dyed on a wool, that is as white as possible to make the colours bright and clean.
In our melange collection we explore yarn that contains all the natural variations of wool – from white over gray to black.
We have selected 2 variations as base for our yarn collection: a lighter grey-melange and a darker grey-melange.
The heathered qualities of the base-yarn influence the colours and create beautiful hues, with depth and variation that draws on qualities from hand-knit and hand-woven artisan craft textiles.

Nature Melange is manufactured in both Axminster and Colortec qualities.
Axminster is the classic luxury woven carpet solution. It offers an exceptionally durable contract carpet and an extraordinary comfort, partly thanks to a 3-ply yarn. Our setup is one of the most modern in the world, based on high-speed looms with a 100% automated creel system that gives you unlimited design possibilities and range from 1100 g/m2 to 2300 g/m2.
Colortec carpets are manufactured with modern tufting technology. Colortec is, compared to woven carpets, a high output production. Colortec provides unlimited design possibilities using up to 6 colours and qualities range from 1100 g/m2 to 1900 g/m2.
