“I felt the history and quality of the place. I felt energy. I felt that new unique art products would come.”

Next door to Dansk Wilton lies HØJHUSET, a great building that was completed in 1961 and used to be a folk high school, creating experiences and memories for people who were seeking new learning opportunities.

Now, 62 years later, the building has been completely renewed and transformed into the first cultural hotel in Denmark while preserving its style and history.

As part of the renewal, the renowned Ukranian-Danish artist Sergei Sviatchenko has been involved in creating interior design solutions for the 10th floor of HØJHUSET.

In collaboration with our amazing designers, Sviatchenko has created beautiful area rugs for both the floors and the walls of the 10th floor. The designs are based on some of his world famous collages decorating the walls all around the building.

In addition to the area rugs, we have provided RE:SHAPE felts – made from recycled carpet fibres – which are used as canvas for Sviatchenko’s collages and constituting wall art in HØJHUSET.

Needless to say, we are extremely excited about this cooperation – both with Sergei Sviatchenko and HØJHUSET.
