CASE STORIES /
Marienlyst Strandhotel

Marienlyst Strandhotel is one of Denmark’s oldest and most reputable beach & spa hotels. In 2022 the hotel began an extensive renovation.

Beautiful carpet designs created with the long history of the hotel in mind

April 2023

Marienlyst Strandhotel is one of Denmark’s oldest and most reputable beach & spa hotels. The 4 star hotel was founded in 1861 and is placed in romantic surrounds just a few meters from a beautiful beach.

In 2022 the hotel underwent an extensive renovation which will continue into 2023. We have provided beautiful carpets for rooms, public spaces and the lobby.

The responsible Export Manager on the project, Lars Hjortshøj Andersen adds:

“Hotel Marienlyst is a fantastic hotel located on the coast of the north-eastern part of Denmark, which we are very proud to now call a reference project at Dansk Wilton.

The hotel has added a new wing with 80 rooms including a conference room at the top. In the main building, the entire reception area, bar, restaurant, wedding room and the fantastic royal staircase have had their carpets and furniture renewed.

The hotel has a great spa area with both outdoor and indoor pools with direct access to the strait ‘Øresund’, which forms the Danish-Swedish border and connects the Baltic Sea to the Atlantic Ocean.

We are really proud about this project and the great collaboration with ESS Group and the skilled architects at Spik Studios who managed to create a completely modern beach hotel atmosphere.”
