Respectful choices

When renovating a hotel it is important to respect and preserve the history of the hotel in order to keep the atmosphere. The interiors must support the story telling of the hotel by seamlessly matching the building. The exciting renovation of Hotel Hebron is a great way to attract new guests while retaining the current ones.

While respecting the story and the architecture, Hotel Hebron is also showing great responsibility by making conscious sustainable choices. One of the key reasons why Hotel Hebron chose Dansk Wilton as their carpet manufacturer is the focus on sustainability. Hebron has achieved the Green Key which is an international certification for leisure organisations that has a high focus on sustainability. This is a great match to Dansk Wilton’s constant focus on supporting the hospitality industry in their focus on increased sustainability and resource management.

Hotel Hebron decided on the Colortec ORIGIN carpet solution due to the sustainable material choice with undyed wool as a natural, rapidly renewable resource. Furthermore it is Cradle to Cradle-certified, among other things meaning it is produced using wind energy only and securing no banned substances are added in the production process.

Choosing the right carpet solution

Renewing a hotel requires a lot of work, choices and decisions. Besides the sustainable choice, one of the reasons why Hotel Hebron chose Dansk Wilton as their carpet manufacturer was that 20 years prior, Dansk Wilton had manufactured carpets for the hotel’s corridors and stairwells. Peter U. Bech, manager at Best Western Hotel Hebron says: “The carpets have been a great success! They have been durable throughout the years which means that they have kept their colours and patterns.”.

Choosing carpets as the flooring solution is a great way to heighten the quality of the guest experience at a hotel. The soft underlay and beautiful design make the guests feel at home while expressing a sense of exclusivity. It also supports a healthy indoor climate while having amazing acoustic attributes which just makes you enjoy the surroundings in Hotel Hebron even more.

A close cooperation

In the span of the project, Hotel Hebron visited Dansk Wilton a couple of times. In addition to the visits, the close cooperation with the design team at Dansk Wilton was a great way to ensure that the new carpet solution would get a new, modern and welcoming look whilst preserving the aesthetic expression of the hotel.
